SBS’S Medical Director, Dr. David Rearick and Stephen Cherniak  Provided Insights at University of Michigan’s Conference, Wellness in the Workplace

Atlanta GA 4/5/2010 — Dr. David Rearick and Stephen Cherniak of SBS (www.sbs-benefits.com) an Atlanta based health and welfare consulting firm recently spoke on the topic on engaging small group employers (with less than 500 employees) at the 29th Annual Wellness in the Workplace Conference, hosted by the University of Michigan.

Dr. Rearick’s and Mr. Cherniak’s presentation honed in on some of the challenges facing organizations under 500 employees, and ways to overcome those obstacles.

The theme of this year’s conference focused on the “Fundamentals of Maintaining Healthy & High-Performing People as a Core Business Strategy.” Conference participants were challenged to think outside of the box and consider new ways of approaching health management.

Dr. Rearick has over 30 years experience as a physician executive. He has held positions as an Aetna medical director and is currently a principle at Strategic Benefit Solutions. Previously he was a practicing family physician for 20 years. Dr. Rearick was also an early founding member of the WellStar Health System. Mr. Cherniak was previously in charge of all health and wellness programming for the Ford Motor Company prior to joining SBS in 2007.
